What i Eat what my scat looks like
As a young fry, I eat algae and small crustaceans and as I grow I start eating small insects and even some invertebrates.
Adults eat what is available in their environment. This includes insects, worms, crustaceans up to small fishes. The location in the Rockies and time of year both effect the food sources that are available. |
Once my scat hits the water it is hard to identify. Usually its about 1/8 inch - 1/2 inch ( 3-13mm) in length. It is composed of any of the food sources that I didnt eat including: algae, fish scales, insect fragments and other microorganisms.
